ok...so now I will tell u about my vacation. Like i said earlier, it was funner than I thought it would be. We left for San Jose Saturday morning. We took a kind of "hike" around the area and went halfway on the creek trail. It was pretty nice. Then we walked to El Burro to eat dinner. There's a lot of places we could walk to from my aunt and uncle's condo, which was where we stayed for the week. We also went to the video store and rented some videos to watch later. That place had such a big selection of anime to rent I was like "omg....." There was a lot more anime there than the video rental stores where I live.
On Sunday, we walked to the farmers market in downtown San Jose. My dad bought some tomatos, which we found out tasted really good (actually I didn't eat any because I don't really like tomatos), but my family said that it was way better than the tomatos in the store.
We then went to Santana Row. It's like an outdoor mall....kindof... haha we even went into this expensive purse store, Gucchi I think it was called, where pusres cost like $300. Of course I didn't buy anything there. It makes me wonder who would buy one of those expensive purses....rich ppl. There was also this huge chess board outside with moveable pieces (about half as tall as I am) where u could actually play the game, but we didn't play it because some other ppl where already playing. Then we ate at the Cheesecake Factory. There isn't one in Sacramento...which is where I live (hah now u know O_O;) ohhhhh and we had a cuuuttee waiter! omg... for the rest of the vacation I was thinking about him. He was pretty nice too =^_^=. hmmm actually we had two waiters..but the cute one waitered the side of the table I wasn't on. I was like " nooooooooo" umm not out loud of course. lol
We then went to another Uncle and aunts house. I played with the baby (he's almost 1 year old) and we watched Shanghai Knights. I like the first Shanghai movie better though. And then on our way back to my aunt and uncle's condo, the full moon was out. It made me think about back when I was about 7 and my 2 older cousins told me that they made a wish on the full moon (they wished that our little cousin then a baby would stop constantly crying.) and the wish had worked. Now I know that eventually a baby would stop crying and it could have been a coincidence...but still I felt I should try a wish anyway. So, I wished that I would see/meet that cute waiter again. i know i know, I'm pathetic.
On monday, we went to Santa Cruz! We took a Redwood railroad ride through the forest. That was really cool. The compartment ( is that what u call it??) that we sat in was uncovered, so we could see all the trees and stuff as we went by. And as we looked down on the river as we went by, we saw a red hottub mold in it. *shakes head* such littering. We also hiked the redwood trail, and we saw this tree cave (a living tree that was partially hollow, my uncle just calls it the tree cave lol). It was big enough for me to stand in and large enough for 3 or 4 ppl to be in at once. It was really dark inside, so we couldn't see how far up the hollow went. lol, we didn't have a flashlight, so my sister and I used the camera flash to try to see how high it went (we wasted some camera shots doing that lol!), but the flash was too quick to really see the height of it.
We rode the train back to Santa Cruz and then rode the rides on the Boardwalk. Fun fun for everyone! We rode the Big Dipper rollar coster (actually just my sister and I did) and we went on the bumper cars twice, and went on other rides. We also went down to the beach and stuck our feet in the ocean. I really wanted to swim in the ocean, I've never swam in it before, but I didn't bring my swim suit, so I couldn't. We then had dinner on the warf at Gilda's. mmmmm yummy grilled salmon. And the full moon looked absolutely beautiful with the moonlight reflected on the ocean water. We took a digital pic of that and it turned out pretty good. You can even see mars in the pic. If u didn't know, the end of this month is when mars will be the closest to earth than it has been in a long time. I'll post the pic if I have time.
Tuesday my mom, sister, and I shopped at the mall. Well, one of several malls. I bought Ayashi no Ceres vol 4. errr even though I know what happens in the end (I was too impatiant for VIZ to print all the volumes to see what happened, so I looked online) I guess I'll still buy them. hmmm there really isn't anything else worth mentioning on this day. Only that we went to a 2 story Target that has a special escalator for carts, and this guy put the cart on the escalator for ppl and it went tumbling town, making this loud racket. The carts wheels broke, and the items the man had in the cart broke. Luckilly no one was on the elevator when the cart went down. O_O
Wednesday, we went to Bonfante Gardens. This is the place that has the circus trees, the trees that are bent into intersting shapes. Look online for Bonfante Gardens and you'll see. bah wait heres a link circus trees. The park also has rides, though it was mostly geared for kids, but I still had fun. My uncle and sister got lost in the rock maze (i found my way out bahahahaa!) And they had some really nice water falls. There's a good rollar coaster ride and a Monarch Garden (but strangely there were no monarchs in there, hmmm...) We thought we would be there for only a couple of hours, but we were there for almost 5!
We then went back to San Jose and walked to the Elephant Bar restaurant (more walking =P) OMG, and it was there that I saw that cute waiter again!! I am almost absolutely sure it was him. he wasn't a waiter there though, haha of course, but eating there. I was so shocked that I couldn't believe it. But I didn't get close enough to talk to him. Damn. He looked so cute. Could it be that my full moon wish actually worked?!? Or was it just coincidence? damn, that's just funny...The last I saw of him was when I was sitting at our table (I took a seat that faced the door ^_^;) And he was being seated in like another room. ;_;
*sigh* but anyways I think I'll cut this short.
On thursday, my other uncle took us to the Great Mall. yadda yadda yadda. The in the evening we went to this local outdoor concert of a local San Jose band. We ate outside on the lawn and it was pretty fun, even though I didn't dance. Most of the ppl there were older adults and kids, so i was like..uhhhh no thanks, no dancing for me. But it was fun watching and listening to the music. there were a lot of ppl there, that's for sure.
We then headed back home on Friday. We'll be going back to San Jose in September for a wedding....so maybe I will coincidently see that waiter again. Hey, I can always hope! I think someday I'll move to San Jose, and NO not because of that cute waiter! (haha but that doesn't hurt it.) The area is a close drive to the ocean and the redwood forest, which is nice. PLus I am soooo tired of living where I am now. I think it's making me dull, if that's even possible O_O
argghhhh and tomorrow I have to get up early for the start of my fall semester. oh joy -_- My class starts at 8am and it takes about 30 min to get there. Can't I just sllllleeeeeepppppppp.
Well anyways, that was my vacation, I left a lot of stuff out, but ehh I didn't want to be stuck typing here forever. ahhhh and I have to make 2 sigs that 2 ppl want me to make for them. I think I'll do that tomorrow, if i'm not bogged down with hw. sorry about that drakai and...err I forget the other person. And I'll post pics when I get a chance. *phew*
